Shadows come alive beneath the surface of modern Japan, where ancient supernatural spirits gather under powerful demon syndicates. Rikuo Nura seems like an ordinary middle school student on the outside, but his bloodline traces back to the ultimate monster lord: Nurarihyon, the supreme commander of the legendary Nura Clan. Carrying one-quarter demon heritage, Rikuo spends his daytime hours navigating ordinary school life while residing in a sprawling estate packed with ghostly retainers, classic folklore figures, and unpredictable mythic creatures.

Despite his dark heritage, Rikuo wants nothing more than to live a quiet human life and avoid taking the mantle of Third Head. However, rival monster syndicates and ambitious spirit leaders actively threaten the peace of both human society and the supernatural underworld. When night falls, his dormant power awakens, transforming him into a tall, charismatic demon lord capable of commanding the fear of the night itself. To protect his human classmates and the spirit family he cherishes, Rikuo must learn to accept his dual identity, earn the respect of rebellious faction heads, and lead his night parade to victory.
