High school baseball is relentless, but few player duos struck absolute terror into their opponents like pitcher Haruka Kiyomine and battery partner Kei Kaname. Known as an elite powerhouse capable of shattering the ambitions of rival middle school teams, their path to national glory seemed preordained. Everything changes when Kei suffers a sudden case of severe amnesia, entirely wiping out his legendary baseball skills, strategic genius, and passion for the sport. Reverting to an awkward teenager who finds the game tedious, Kei drags the prodigal Haruka away from elite recruitment offers and into Kotesashi High, a completely unremarkable public school with zero baseball prestige.

Left to pick up the pieces, Haruka remains fiercely loyal, refusing to step onto the mound without his former partner by his side. The central conflict erupts as Kotesashi High unexpectedly becomes the landing spot for former rival athletes—prodigies who had previously quit baseball altogether after having their spirits broken by the Kiyomine-Kaname battery in middle school. Now forced onto the same underdog squad, this motley crew must overcome past traumas, navigate Kei's hilarious memory loss, and fight their way toward the high school tournament. The story delivers a masterclass in athletic grit, comedic relief, and intense sports drama as old rivalries transform into unbreakable team bonds.

Key Characters

Haruka Kiyomine: An intimidatingly talented pitcher whose fastball is virtually unhitable. Stoic and reserved, Haruka's athletic drive is tied entirely to Kei, making his absolute loyalty to his amnesiac catcher both his greatest strength and biggest vulnerability.

Kei Kaname: Formerly feared as the strategic "General" behind the plate, Kei is now a goofy, baseball-averse teenager who forgets his own legendary past. His dynamic with Haruka switches between frustrating comedic relief and flashes of his hidden genius returning under pressure.

Aoi Todo and Shunpei Chiyo: Outstanding hitters and fielders who gave up baseball after being humiliated by Haruka and Kei in middle school. Joining Kotesashi High to escape the sport, they are reluctantly dragged back into the game, creating a tense yet passionate dynamic with the duo that once ruined their dreams.
